Recruitment Fraud Awareness
What Is Recruitment Fraud?
Recruitment fraud is a sophisticated fraud involving the offer of fictitious job opportunities. This kind of fraud is normally done through unsolicited emails, LinkedIn, fake websites, or text messages claiming to be from Groq.
Scammers will typically reach out to individuals who have posted their resumes online, screen or interview them, send a job offer, and ask for personal information or payment to begin training or for travel to HQ.
How To Identify Recruitment Fraud
There are a number of practices to watch out for that indicate recruitment fraud. Groq will NEVER do any of the following:
- Use an email that isn’t from the domain @groq.com. A variation such as @groqcareers.com is a scam.
- Request personal information such as passport and bank account details, often at an early stage
- Request money (e.g. for ‘visa fees’, taxes, a percentage of travel expenses)
- Send emails from free web-based email accounts such as Yahoo, Gmail or Live.com
- Insist on urgency
- Use poorly formatted documents or make substantial spelling and grammatical errors
Identify Legitimate Groq Communications
Any communications from Groq and our Talent team about your application, interviews, job offers, and careers in general will come from an official @groq.com email address.
