Photography and Filming Policy
Effective Date: October 24, 2025
Overview
This Photography and Filming Policy (“Policy”) governs all third-party photography, videography, and related media activities - including but not limited to those conducted by press, analysts, partners, influencers, contractors, and vendors - at any Groq, Inc. (“Groq”) data-center launches, facilities, or media briefings (collectively referred to as “Groq Sites”).
The purpose of this policy is to protect Groq’s intellectual property (“IP”), confidential information, export-controlled technology, and brand assets, while still enabling accurate and credible coverage of Groq’s technology, products, and operations.
Application
This policy applies globally to all visitors and third parties on Groq Sites, as well as Groq employees hosting or accompanying them. It governs all images, videos, and other content captured on Groq Sites or depicting Groq’s products, facilities, or personnel, regardless of medium, purpose, or intended use.
Definitions
For the purposes of this policy:
- “Groq Products” include, but are not limited to, Groq chips, cards, nodes, racks, test fixtures, production lines, screens, logos, and tooling.
- “Content” means all photos, videos, or other visual recordings captured on Groq premises or depicting Groq Products.
- “Approved Content” means only those images or recordings expressly reviewed and authorized by Groq’s communications, marketing, or legal teams for public release.
Filming and Photography Access Levels
Access to Groq areas and products for photography or filming shall be granted only by Groq, based on operational and security considerations. Access falls into three categories:
Allowed Areas: Content capture is permitted only in pre-approved areas and must avoid exposure of restricted or sensitive areas. Allowed areas generally include:
- Public lobby or reception areas;
- Stage or branded backdrop areas;
- Designated demonstration or demo pods;
- Pre-approved racks designated for public viewing;
- Press or interview areas;
- Any additional locations expressly approved by Groq on a case-by-case basis
All allowed content should, where possible, use blurred backgrounds or restricted camera angles to prevent inadvertent exposure of sensitive equipment or data.
Conditional Access (Escorted Only): Certain operational areas may be approved for filming or photography only when escorted by Groq personnel and subject to written authorization. Conditional access applies to:
- Operations floor areas; and
- Close-up shots of Groq products, limited to pre-approved angles.
Groq reserves full discretion to deny, suspend, or withdraw conditional access at any time.
Prohibited Areas: Photography, filming, or recording is strictly prohibited in the following areas and contexts:
- Product serial numbers, barcodes, asset tags, SKUs, and port labels;
- Diagnostic or telemetry screens, management consoles, and log outputs;
- Network diagrams, data-center floor plans, cage identifiers, power runs, PDU ratings, or MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings;
- Manufacturing or test equipment, including tooling, test jigs, thermal fixtures, and heatsink internals;
- Signage or materials that could disclose end-user identities, end-use restrictions, or export-controlled information;
- Any third-party confidential materials covered under NDA;
- Drone or aerial imaging within any Groq Sites; and
- Non-public areas - as determined by Groq - such as unshrouded chip zones, engineering workstations, manufacturing, or shipping areas
Unauthorized recording or possession of such material may result in immediate removal from Groq Sites and further legal or contractual remedies.
Additional Terms
- Groq reserves the right to pre-screen all footage for export-control or security-sensitive content prior to any publication or external distribution.
- All press, contractors, or visitors must be escorted at all times and are not permitted to handle or operate Groq technology without written authorization.
- No commercial use - including advertisements, endorsements, paid promotions, or product packaging - is permitted without separate written approval from Groq.
- In certain cases, Groq may request attribution or credit in published materials, such as: “Courtesy of Groq, Inc.”
Publication Rights and Licensing
Groq grants a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to publish only those images and videos that:
- Have been expressly reviewed and approved by Groq in advance; and
- Were captured in full compliance with this policy.
This license authorizes publication solely for informational, editorial, or event-coverage purposes. Any commercial exploitation - including advertising, sponsorships, endorsements, product packaging, or resale - is strictly prohibited without Groq’s prior written consent. Recipients of this license may not sublicense, modify, distort, or alter Groq’s marks, logos, or visual assets, nor imply Groq’s partnership, endorsement, or approval.
Groq reserves the right to revoke this license at any time for non-compliance or misuse and to require the immediate removal or correction of any published content that violates this policy or misrepresents Groq’s brand, technology, or products.
Use of Groq-Provided Assets
If Groq publishes an official press kit - including approved photos, product images, logos, executive headshots, pronunciation guides, and public technical specifications - all press and partners must use those official materials in place of capturing new or unauthorized content.
Groq may provide additional media assets for approved use at its discretion, subject to this policy.
Non-compliance
- Security can pause filming, inspect captured media in the presence of the owner, and request deletion of non-compliant clips.
- Any press member or third party that violates this policy will be removed from Groq Site and future access will be revoked.
- Contractual remedies may be pursued, if separate media agreement applies.
License Grant and Revocation
Groq grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, and non-transferable license to publish only those images and videos that have been expressly reviewed and approved by Groq and that are captured in full compliance with this policy. This license permits publication solely for informational, editorial, or event coverage purposes.
Any commercial use - including, but not limited to, advertising, sponsorships, endorsements, or product packaging - is strictly prohibited without Groq’s prior written consent. You may not sublicense, sell, modify, or otherwise alter any Groq marks or visual assets, nor imply Groq’s approval, partnership, or endorsement in any published material.
Groq reserves the right to revoke this license at any time for non-compliance or misuse and to request immediate removal or correction of any published content that violates this policy or misrepresents Groq’s brand or products.
Policy Updates
This policy may be updated, or one or more provisions may be deleted, at any time without notice. Continued use of our services after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
